Leigh Michl, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Leigh Michl has been the CEO of Ultimus since 2009 and a director since 2007. Prior to Ultimus, Mr. Michl spent 24 years in the venture capital and private equity industry where he focused on the information technology and technology-enabled business services markets. He was a founder and Managing Director of Ascent Venture Partners and a Partner at Advent International. Mr. Michl also held audit and business analysis positions at The Pioneer Group, Inc. and completed General Electric Company’s Financial Management Program. Mr. Michl had been Chairman of the Mad River Glen Cooperative and a member of the President’s Advisory Committee and Investment Committee of the Berklee College of Music. Leigh holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Bates College and a master's degree in finance from Boston College.

Karl Freiheit, President
Karl Freiheit has 20 years of operating experience in IT hardware, software and consulting companies. He held various sales and management positions at multinational corporations including NCR and Compunet, and was the Founder and Managing Director of i-media Consulting, an internet/intranet solutions company). He joined Ultimus in 2001, where his entrepreneurial spirit drove the international expansion of the company and contributed significantly to the solid foundation Ultimus operates on today. Karl Freiheit studied computer science at the University of Federal Armed Forces Germany in Munich and holds an executive MBA degree of the GSBA Zurich, Switzerland.Karl has been focused on delivering customer success in Business Process Management since 1996. His wealth of knowledge and experience with process improvement projects help direct the strategy and investments in areas that support the Ultimus mission - delivering the results our customers expect. |
Dany Aoun, Senior Vice President- Global Sales
Dany Aoun heads all sales activities for Ultimus worldwide. He joined Ultimus in 2005 as the head for the Middle East and Africa operations and subsequently built Ultimus’ leadership position in this territory. As Senior Vice President - Global Sales, he ensures that successful proven models for customer success are shared around the world. Dany held various leadership positions with IBM, Oracle and EMC. He earned a bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from the American University in Beirut.
