Ultimus BPM Press Release

Ultimus Ignites Partner Momentum with Accelerated Training Events and New Director of Channel Development

Ultimus offers partners the opportunity to strategically expand their business to meet the increasing demand for BPM solutions

Cary, NC (May 6, 2008) — Ultimus, a leading provider of Business Process Management (BPM) and workflow software and solutions, with more than 1,800 customers worldwide, today announced the formation of a unique Accelerated Partner Training program. The company also announced the addition of Kyle Moll as director of North American Channel Development. Today’s announcements follow the successful completion of its recent Partner “Jam Session” – a launching pad for developing strategic relationships, initiatives and events designed to greatly reduce the time-to-value for new partners.

“This is an exciting time for Ultimus as we commit to helping our network of partners throughout the world expand their business offerings by aligning industry and technology expertise to meet increasing demand,” said Richard Davis, CEO, Ultimus. “Ultimus partners are developing margin-rich revenue streams and diversifying from their competition by extending current business applications and integrating silos of technology with our best-of-breed BPM-based solutions.”

Ultimus recently held a highly-successful two-day Partner Jam Session for US-based partners who gathered for product demonstrations, presentations, training, technical insights, and lessons learned.

“I really enjoyed meeting the team, having a chance to interface with other partners and getting an opportunity to dig into Version 8,” said Jason Webster, Senior Consultant at Concerta Consulting, Inc., Ultimus partner. “Everyone from Ultimus was very enthusiastic, easily approached and seemed genuinely interested in our questions, input and feedback. The Jam was well focused and structured, providing a good mix of high level and detailed information.”

An overview of the value-added differentiators of Ultimus Adaptive BPM Suite V8 was a major focus of the session. Attendees provided feedback and shared insight into some of the most notable V8 features which drive accelerated deployment, including:

  • Enhanced, out-of-the-box integration with Microsoft® SharePoint
  • A new XML data storage model which facilitates access to business level data and sharing of this data across information systems
  • More scalable BPM implementations utilizing enhanced Ultimus web services platforms and SOA architecture
  • Faster business process design and easier process administration

“We greatly appreciated the opportunity to discuss our successes with Ultimus in such a unique and collaborative environment,” said Eric Ritchie, Senior Workflow Specialist of Streamline Health (NASDAQ: STRM). “With Ultimus, we are able to provide our customers with adaptable BPM services for growing business needs and exceptions – revolutionizing the idea of software-as-a-service to true solutions-as-aservice.”

Building on the success of this V8 Partner Jam Session, Ultimus will host a similar training event in Panama City, Panama May 19-21st at the Hotel Continental for its Latin American partners. Partner University will focus on V8 education and awareness, as well as testimonials from customers Banco Nacional de Panamá and Global Bank. EMEA partners will attend the fifth annual Ultimus PartnerAlliance Roundtable on May 30th directly after the Ultimus EMEA BPM Conference 2008 at Hotel Kempinski, Munich Airport, Germany.

“By supporting broad-based industry standards, we're able to offer the best combination of technologies in both integration and deployment,” added Davis. “I walked away from our two-day partner session with renewed appreciation for our partners, and I look forward to working with them to make V8 our most successful Ultimus release yet.”

To ensure even stronger partner support going forward, Ultimus also announced the hiring of Kyle Moll as its director of North American Channel Development. Moll joins Ultimus with 20 years of high-growth, channel development success. Most recently he served as vice president, Channel Sales for Sparta Systems, Inc., where he established a strategic partner program, working closely with Sparta's resellers and certified solution providers to support all aspects of the relationship.
