Ultimus Covered in Three New Analyst Research Reports

Ultimus has been included in three recent reports by analysts that track developments and trends in business process automation.

In their latest report on Digital Process Automation software (DPA), The Digital Process Automation Software Landscape, Q3 2026, Forrester Research once again included Ultimus as a Notable Vendor. In this new report, Forrester discusses how DPA vendors, including Ultimus, are leveraging AI to accelerate digital transformation, boost process agility, foster process governance, and protect enterprise data.

Ultimus was also included as a notable vendor in Forrester’s initial coverage of their new automation category: Adaptive Process Orchestration software (APO). Forrester’s The Adaptive Process Orchestration Software Landscape, Q2 2026 defines APO software as:

An automation platform that uses AI agents and nondeterministic control flows in addition to traditional deterministic control flows to meet business goals, perform complex tasks, and make autonomous decisions.

They state how APO consolidates fragmented automation tools into a unified, governed backbone, helping leaders scale automation confidently while maintaining control and preventing unmanaged AI agent sprawl.

The third recent report, by 451 Group, provides an in-depth review of Ultimus and its recent AI developments including:

• a natural language interface (i.e., Vibe Coding) that allows process designers to build and modify workflows using spoken or typed natural language commands, thereby broadening and simplifying process automation
• an AI agent onboarding, management, and orchestration framework
• embedded governance controls that ensure AI agent use is in compliance with policy and regulation, such as the EI AI Act, and tracks agent usage and costs.
