Written by Laura Storjohann | July 7, 2021

New York, NY – July 7, 2021 – Ultimus, the award winning low-code digital process automation technology and innovation leader, released a new case study describing how a nation’s central bank used application composition to realize the strategic benefits of enterprise-wide automation.

The customer, working collaboratively with Ultimus, used the Ultimus DPA Suite’s unique low code application development environment to create composable business objects, reusable integration adapters, and document template object definitions and to organize them into global and family level definitions for maximum agility and manageability.

This comprehensive digitization effort entailed the automation of 35 business processes relating to the granting, withdrawal, suspension, changing, and renewal of licenses for all commercial, retail, and investment banks; non-bank lenders; and foreign exchange and monetary intermediaries operating or seeking to operate in the country - and the creation of 40 reports and supporting applications.

This ambitious automation project went into production on budget and in 9 months – 4 months ahead of schedule. Benefits included:

  • A 90% reduction in application and licensing errors.
  • 95% attainment of established Service Level Agreement turnaround times.
  • A 175 person-day annual reduction in licensing and compliance effort.

Leigh Michl, Ultimus Chairman & CEO, commented, “This case showcases the benefits of architecting for reuse – you get more than just rapid delivery, you get consistency of implementation, and seamless automation across application families. And since global, family, and individual solution level changes can be implemented in a day or two, you get maximum agility at the lowest total cost of ownership”.
