BPM Provider Enters Fourth Quarter Following Continued Growth and Successful 2008 Americas User Conference and Partner Forum
CARY, NC (October 31, 2008) — Ultimus, Inc., developer of one of the most widely-deployed business process management software suites in the world, enters the fourth quarter with three straight quarters of continued revenue growth and on the heels of a highly successful User Conference and Partner Forum held October 22nd – 24th in San Antonio, Texas.
This conference served a mix of new and existing customers and partners as well as prospects from around the globe. Ultimus credits the diverse blend of attendees to innovations in the product pipeline with regards to features and functions of the newly released Ultimus Adaptive BPM Suite 8.1. A market exclusive e-learning initiative was also announced at the conference, offering customers and partners an online option to collaborate with Ultimus Training Staff and fellow learners in course-related forums.
Keynote speakers included Dave Ridley, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Southwest Airlines, Gartner Research VP Janelle Hill, and BPM and Enterprise 2.0 expert, Sandy Kemsley. Ridley delivered a well-received keynote on sustaining organizational excellence and rethinking how organizations treat employees. Hill’s presentation on best practices for building a business process competency center (BPCC) was one that enabled attendees to return to their companies with new insight on their current execution of processes. Kemsley’s insight on the future of BPM was especially timely as the culmination of common BPM practices with the viral use of social technologies has provided great foresight to the next-generation of BPM platforms.
During the conference, Ultimus also facilitated two parallel tracks of boardroom presentations, a business track and a solutions track, allowing attendees to tailor their conference experience according to their business focus. Case study roundtable discussions with new and existing customers provided an opportunity for panel members to share best practices and lessons learned with peers on how to enhance process success within their own organizations.
In an onsite blog entry, Kemsley wrote about her experience sitting in on one of the customer roundtables. This particular roundtable featured a new Ultimus customer, another who had just automated their first process, as well as a customer who has been using the Ultimus Adaptive BPM Suite for seven years, with many successful processes currently automated. In this entry, she notes that these customers believed that “Going paperless is a huge cultural challenge, but once the users get used to it, they wouldn’t give it up.” They also offered a suggestion for a best practice by “Implementing one relatively straightforward process up front can be used to help bolster the business case for additional implementations.”
Ultimus hosts two User Conferences a year. The next one is to take place in Munich Germany in May.
