The Leader in Business Process Management Acknowledged By Top Publications and Industry Organizations

Cary, NC — November 7, 2005 — Ultimus, the leading provider of Business Process Management (BPM) and Workflow Automation software and services that enable the shortest time to value, today announced it has won a succession of prestigious industry awards. This year alone the company was honored as a Deloitte Technology Fast 500 company, one of KMWorld’s 100 Companies that Matter in Knowledge Management, a Software Company of the Year finalist in the NCTA21 Technology Awards, a finalist in the KM World Promise Award, and a finalist in the VARBusiness Awards. In addition, its customer Grupo Financiero Uno was a Gold Winner of the 2005 Global Excellence Awards for innovation and excellence in BPM and workflow implementations from WfMC and Workflow and Reengineering International Association (WARIA).

“Our staff is dedicated to providing solutions that enable businesses worldwide to increase their profits and improve customer service,” said Rashid Khan, CEO and co-founder of Ultimus. “It is extremely rewarding to earn such high praise from industry leaders and peers alike that our solutions are delivering on that promise.”

As a 2005 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 company for the fifth straight year, Ultimus was recognized for having shown a remarkable ability to maintain spectacular growth, not just during the heady times of the technology boom but also during the tough period that followed. The company also earned a spot in the KMWorld 100 Companies that Matter in Knowledge Management for the fifth straight year in recognition of its ability to best exemplify the true ideals of Knowledge Management and the ability of its products and services to continuously and fundamentally transform the way organizations operate. Additionally, Ultimus was a finalist in the VARBusiness Awards, which honor the best and brightest solution providers, and in the NCTA21 Technology Awards, the oldest and most prestigious technology awards in North Carolina. It was a finalist in the KM World Promise Awards, which are given to organizations that go beyond simply delivering technology to working with clients to ensure that both the technology and knowledge processes are imbedded into work processes.

Ultimus’ customer, Grupo Financiero Uno, was honored by WARIA for demonstrably excelling at implementing innovative solutions to meet strategic business objectives. The company earned the award for its use of the Ultimus BPM Suite to automate critical customer-facing processes such as credit card approvals. By streamlining these processes, Grupo Financiero Uno has maintained a 35 percent annual growth rate, reduced operational cycle times by 650 percent without increasing headcount, achieved solid ROI in just three months for one of the countries in which it operates, and increased the number of credit card applications processed each day by up to 470 percent.

“Each acknowledgement is a testament to the value Ultimus Delivers to its customers. We look forward to building on this momentum as we continue to lead the BPM market,” added Khan.
