Track Record of Innovation |
|
Ultimus has a history of innovation since creating one of the first workflow suites in 1994.
1st Ultimus Workflow Suite, 1994 1st Organization Chart, 1995
The Ultimus Org Chart is a graphical, easy to use, organization chart builder which saves information about job functions, users, departments and groups in a database of your choice. Ultimus is, therefore, aware of user names, job functions, and reporting relationships. This is another innovation to make workflow smart.
1st Flobots, 1995
Ultimus Flobots™ allow you to use third-party applications as workflow robots. Just like robots, you train a Flobot for a specific task (print a report, generate a chart, search for some information). Once trained, the Flobot will make the application perform the task automatically without any human intervention, whenever called upon as a step in the workflow process. Ultimus provides Flobots for Word, Excel, ODBC Databases, File, .Net, Web Services, and ASCII output. In addition, you can use the Flobot API to develop custom Flobots for your specific application.
1st Web-based Workflow, 1996 1st BPM with Integrated Documentation, 1998
1st Integrated Modeling for Business Analysts, 2002
1st BPM with Collaborative Design, 2003 1st with “Process Development Center”, 2003
1st BPM with Global Strategy and Localization, 2004
To support a growing worldwide customer base, Ultimus developed offices in 16 countries and a product in 20 languages
1st with Adaptive Discovery technology, 2005 4 key BPM related technology patents, 2 pending
Ultimus Designer
The Ultimus Designer is an intuitive, easy to use application which allows you to graphically design sophisticated workflow processes without programming. Its advanced features, such as the Distributed Spreadsheet Model (patent pending), ensure that even the most complicated processes can be easily designed. The Designer has a sophisticated simulation capability to show you exactly how your workflow application will work in real life, so you can test it completely before you deploy it.
The Ultimus BPM Suite
The Ultimus BPM Suite is ideal for use with processes that involve a mix of people and systems. If you have processes with multiple hand-offs, multiple systems, frequent errors, and the need for more detailed tracking, then Ultimus is the answer. The BPM Suite is designed to support cross-functional BPM teams. Process Owners and Business Users can graphically model their processes without having to be experts in any specific modeling methodology. Analysts can take those models, refine them, and create automated solutions without any programming. When complex integration is required, developers can implement functions, or services, using .NET or Web Services that can be easily linked into processes without being embedded in them, abstracting the process analyst from the need to know how to write complex code. Process Experts create rules in a graphical environment and manage the change associated with running processes. Finally, users, managers, and administrators can adjust day to day task assignments and activities without ever impacting the process itself. For IT organizations, Ultimus can help reduce the typical application backlog while providing an environment that is geared toward improved collaboration with business teams. By clearly separating different aspects of process automation into manageable pieces, alignment of process responsibility with business responsibility is possible without technology constraints. |
