BPM Implementation: Why Training is so Important

One of the questions potential BPMS clients always ask is "How long will our deployment take?" While this is a very important question, the real question that should be asked is how long it will take for you to get started.

This is a key piece that BPMS clients sometimes forget to ask their potential vendors. Some of our competitors take weeks to train clients on their BPMS solution. This hinders not only progress on the processes you're trying to improve, but also your ability to have BPMS help your bottom line. The faster you can get trained, the faster you can deploy and see results.

Achieving Process Performance

At Ultimus, we're taking advantage of cutting-edge technology to deliver rapid learning opportunities.  Our eLearning courses are designed to help users grasp basic concepts in days - not weeks...and I'm not just talking about product functionality through lecture.  Our V8 Fundamentals eLearning course provides hands-on exercises in a virtual environment that walks learners through successfully building their very first process in Ultimus, all the while teaching them about the fundamental aspects of the Ultimus Adaptive BPM Suite.  Head's-down, it can be finished in 2-3 days; or if users choose to, they can take their time with it over a work week.  Either way, it's available on demand, whenever they need it!

One large national hospital client of ours was thrilled with the eLearning.  They stated, "It represents a significant cost savings to our organization."

On top of the initial training, we offer deep-dives into specific product functionality as well as development best practices.  Here's where instructor-led training comes into play.  Our V8 Jump Start workshop builds on what students have learned in the V8 Fundamentals course by digging deeper into complex topics - like building XML Schemas, process routing strategies, and more.  However, we've also designed this workshop to be flexible, so that client's specific educational needs are met.  We collect student's requests up-front, and then curtail the base workshop curriculum to spend more time on those topics.  Furthermore, we limit workshop participation to allow for more focused attention.  That way, students learn what they need to know...plus a few things they didn't know they needed!

Furthermore, we're using the latest web-based technologies to offer our clients the option of participating in our instructor-led workshops right from their own desk!  Ultimus Online Training provides the same level of participation as if they'd travelled hundreds of miles to come sit in a classroom for 8 hours a day (and without the expense!)  And in our experience, it's even better - classroom distractions are removed, and focus on individual challenges are shared by all.

Take a look at some samples from our training offerings, and see if you think it's as great as we do:
